Introduction: 

The World Hindu Youth Conference will be organised in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia on 29 & 30 March 2013 by Hindu Students & Youth Network with the theme of “ Shaping the Next Generation of Leaders of the Hindu Resurgence.”

The Conference will devise strategies to prepare Youth to meet their goals and responsibilities at local, national and global level in a straightforward and effective manner thereby enabling the Youth around the world to disseminate information about a wide variety matters on a real time basis.

The main aim of the Conference will be to provide opportunities for the young students, professionals and Youth organisations to build effective networks so that they can effectively coordinate with each other on strategies and information to better understanding and work in the areas where they are active. In addition, the conference will provide opportunities for the leaders of tomorrow to pool their resources judiciously. After consolidating the gains of the conference, finally will translate them into action.

Objectives: 
  1. To empower our youth with knowledge, ideas, passion and practical solutions to drive the work of Hindu youth and the wider Hindu Samaj ahead by:
    • Sharing our knowledge, thoughts, experiences and ideas from across the world
    • Increasing our knowledge of Hindu Dharma
    • Discussing problems of the samaj and their solutions
  2. To give a global outlook to our local work
  3. To create and lead a strong, global Hindu youth community

What is the best way to book air tickets

1.  From International destination try round trip tickets to Airport in Denpasar, Bali (Airport code DPS). Arrival date at DPS is Mar-28 or earlier and return on March 31 evening or later. You may get better rates if you try options given in step 2 - 3.
 
2.  From International destination book round trip tickets to and from Jakarta Indonesia Airport (Airport Code CGK) to get better economical rates. While arriving reach CGK on Mar-28 or earlier. Currently Emirates Airline is giving good deals from USA. Check for deals from your respective countries. Book earlier to get good deals
 
2a.  From there (CGK) book tickets to Airport in Denpasar,Bali (Airport code DPS)  You can book tickets from CGK to DPS by Lion Air (www.lionair.co.id), Air Asia (www.airasia.com) or Batavia Air (www.batavia-air.com)  for about US $40 to $50 round trip. You can buy online with a credit card or at a travel agent.
 
2b.  From some places like NZ and AU it might be economical to fly to Bali directly.  While from other places such as US & UK, it would be cheaper to fly via Jakarta.

2c.  The International and domestic terminals are in the same airport, but please give 2 to 3 hours’ time between your arrival and departure flights at Jakarta Indonesia Airport (CGK)

3.  While returning plan to leave from Denpasar,Bali, (DPK) in the evening, so that you can finish sightseeing tour (say 6:00 PM on Mar-31 or later time and date) and work your tickets booking time from DPK to CGI, (2 – 3 hours gap at CGK for terminal change) and CGK to your home airport.

What are the VISA requirements for Bali travel?
  • Visa applications should be submitted to the Visa Officer after filling out the required form.
  • A visa application should be submitted along with the following :
    • A valid passport valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date.
    • A round trip or through-ticket to country of destination.

Where will delegates( not accompanying parents) of World Hindu Youth Conference will stay?
Delegates will stay at Balai Diklat Pendidikan dan Penelitian Provinsi, Bali. This is Government training centre. Each room has two separate beds with attached bathroom. The number of delegates stay in these rooms depends on number of beds available in these rooms. There are A.Cs and non-A.C room. There will be separate accommodation for girls and boys.
